I really enjoyed watching the Royal Wedding today. I was too young when Charles and Diana married and so it was nice to actually watch a big event on the television live. Kate looked gorgeous on the day, and they really do make a lovely couple, so I hope this marriage lasts. I was listening to the build up in the morning and it really emphasised the Mars-Jupiter conjunction in Aries. The presenter described the crowd as feeling excited, and also over-enthusiastic after cheering a street sweeper who was passing by! The mood was described as positive, energetic, and celebratory (Mars-Jupiter). A significant Jupiter aspect on the day is a cause for celebration in itself, but the largest planet in our solar system (Jupiter) also rules expansion, prosperity and abundance. The Jupiterian element was also clear from all those horses on the day. All the military uniforms was defiantly some of the Aries influence, too.

The Sun is also trine Pluto and this is how I described this aspect from my April horoscope:

Sun is in Taurus trine Pluto in Capricorn representing a good time for material security and self-empowerment. Our Values are in harmony with realism, and this reflects a time for material achievement, money is an important issue and there is a greater degree of constancy. We might become a little fascinated with power and wealth and it’s a lovely time of renewal, and this leads nicely to some royal celebration.

As I was watching the wedding on television I kept slipping into a posh English accent, so I think all this wealth (Taurus) and status (Capricorn) and power (Pluto) got me a little fascinated, too. It's quite fun to play along with the event, and I am English, but not so posh. However, I was not as obsessed as some people on the day, who camped out for four nights outside the palace just to get a good view. I wonder if some of the little girls watching the big event pretended to be princesses? At least we had some wealth and status in our lives for a day, and it was a nice end to April.
