My First Steps into Astrology

I was introduced to my horoscope through Russell Grant's Astrology Kit. I received the astro-pack from my mum and dad. The Astrology kit is easy to follow, but I messed  up the chart drawings quite a few times until I got it right. The planetary positions and finding the rising degree was difficult to work out at first, along with learning and drawing the astrological symbols. I kept going and persisted with it, until I finally completed a birth chart, and this was such a gratifying moment. I still have my first Astrology Kit for sentimental reasons, and get the book, cards and chart paper out from time to time.

Russell Grant is well known astrologer in England, and is the author of various books, as well as writing newspaper columns. He has also created a Nintendo astrology game and has his own television show, so it appears the man is a mass marketing genius, and perhaps he has lots of Jupiter contacts in his natal chart. Grant is an Aquarian and he is the ambassador of the Alzheimer's society and has poured a lot of his money into youth schemes, I hoped you enjoyed how I played along the water bearer themes in that description..

Russell Grant is a  flamboyant astrologer, he dresses and speaks colourfully and can sometimes be taken less seriously. In Liz Greene's and Juliet Burk's "The Astrologer, the Counsellor and the Priest." The seminar takes a look back at the history of astrology, and how to conduct astrology counselling sessions and also covers the judgements of astrologers to other practitioners in the same field.

"Having an adoring group of acolytes at ones feet can be very pleasing to a swollen Jupiter, especially if they are sexually attractive and pay well and the astrologer who identifies with this role may have more in common with the pop star and the film actor than with the doctor and psychotherapists.
Astrology has its showy side. Its representatives invariably offend those Saturnian astrologers who want very badly to be seen as respectable by the scientific community, and who may have forgotten, beneath the weight of Promethean idealism and Chironian pain, that astrology can also be great fun.
At a European astrology conference some years ago, I overheard the organisers discussing whether or not a particular famous newspaper astrologer (who shall remain nameless, but who has a Sagittarian Ascendant with Jupiter conjunct the Sun in the 1st house) should be invited to speak at the next Congress. The decision to not invite her was unanimous. The reason? Because she was too glamorous and wore low cut dresses when presenting lectures.
In a similar vein, at an analytic congress, a male analyst of my acquaintance turned up in a bright yellow sports jacket, rather like the proverbial bird of paradise amongst chickens. A pair of elderly ladies of the sober, caring type could not refrain from pointing out that such garb was unsuitable for an analyst. Jupiter run amok can sometimes immerse us in sleaze. But all work and no Jupiter makes Jack, and the astrologer a very dull boy or girl indeed".

Pluto: The Soul's Evolution Through Relationships - Follow Up

Evolutionary Astrology has four evolutionary states and depending on what spiritual stage of the ladder we are currently on, the reading of Pluto will be different for each individual. To read Pluto in the composite chart, we link the house and sign position of composite Pluto with the couple's mutual desires prior to this life. The polarity point of Pluto by house and sign shows the current intent of the relationship and its ongoing evolution. The phasal relationship between Mars and Pluto indicates how the couple will actualize their current life intentions.

I did enjoy reading through all the possible life experiences of different relationships in this book. Here are a few examples of how Pluto works in composite chart from the author, Jeff Green:

If a couple have composite Pluto in the 3rd house, themes of their past life relationship revolve around a couple who desired to expand their relationship through intense examinations of one another's psychology. There can be deep and intense discussions, and such exchanges in communication will trigger areas in one or both of them where they are rigidly invested in previous held ideas, opinions or beliefs that justify their views and keep them secure. These dynamics brought the relationship to a standstill in the last lifetime. The danger in this relationship is when one partner attempts to dominate the others thinking.

One or both may have attempted to control and manipulate the thoughts of the other in order to have some desire met. This has resulted in dishonest communication, and eff Green calls this the power of persuasion, and if this masks a darker agenda, negative karma is produced. If "brain washing" resulted it creates a resistance and repulsion towards the other. In some cases Pluto in the 3rd house or Gemini may signify two people who have been related before through being siblings. And the normal boundaries that exist between siblings have been transgressed, and there has been sexual contact.

For some, this has been consensual and the relationship has been kept secret from other family members. If the contact was non consensual the situation reflects an older sibling, manipulating the mind of a younger sibling. I do have personal reservations about these readings, but they are still fascinating to read.

Another example given in the book is Pluto in the 11th house; this possibly shows two very close friends in a last lifetime. They may have met each other through a group or other shared interest. In some cases they have wanted to shift from being very close and like minded friends into the context of intimacy, and to become lovers. They have each wanted to rebel from limiting life circumstances and this has brought them together intimately. There has been a shift from friendship to intimacy, and in many cases this has changed the relationship dramatically.

Where they once helped each other as friends who could objectively see each other, all that objectivity is lost, and the relationship has been terminated. Many other couples with composite Pluto in the 11th house have shifted their relationship from intimacy to friendship. In this way they have understood each other more objectively, or they have liked each other intensely and have vowed to be close friends in subsequent lifetimes.

There may have also been an unexpected loss or termination to the relationship/friendship in a past life. This may have happened for a variety of reasons; one may have had a secret agenda, motive and intention that they have hidden from the other. And another scenario could represent a couple who have been rejected by mainstream society; they have bonded to one another for support and validation.

The Soul's Evolution through Relationships has some fascinating ideas to play around with. The ideas expressed are difficult to ground in the context of a present partnership. The book definitely needs an open mind, and it presents some interesting scenarios of some of our past relationships.

Pluto: The Soul's Evolution Through Relationships - by Jeff Green

The Souls Evolution through Relationships is a highly fascinating book, with many revelations and interesting concepts. Those familiar with Jeff Greens work will know he is an evolutionary astrologer. If you are not sure what this means, here are the 7 laws to follow to be a practitioner in astrology based on former lives.
1. An acceptance of the fact that human beings incarnate in a succession of lifetimes.

2. An acceptance of the fact that the birthchart reflects the evolutionary condition of the soul at the moment of incarnation.

3. An acceptance of the fact that the birthchart reflects the evolutionary intentions of the soul for the present life.

4. An acceptance of the fact that the circumstances of the present life, both materially and psychologically, do not arise randomly, but rather reflect the evolutionary intentions and necessities of the soul.

5. An acceptance of the fact that human beings interact creatively and unpredictably with their birthcharts; that all astrological symbols are multi-dimensional and are modulated into material and psychic expression by the consciousness of the individual.

6. An acceptance of the fact that human beings are responsible for the realities they experience, both internally and externally.

7. A respectful intention to accept and support a person seeking astrological help, no matter the evolutionary state the individual finds himself or herself.

Evolutionary astrology adheres to acceptance of the fact statements. I agree with most of the ideas behind them. However, it feels like those pledges you make before joining a particular group or cult. Jeff Greens work in regard to relationships stems from the belief that we have shared other lifetimes with our partners. The methods to understand any relationships destiny is outlined in the composite chart  and you do this by delineating the composite Pluto and nodes. These astrological principles are explained fully in Jeff Green's former book: Pluto The Evolutionary Journey of the Soul. Pluto's composite house placement is where the relationship left off in the last lifetime. The same relationship dynamics would be happening in this life because this is how you both have interacted before. The South Node is used in conjunction with Pluto's composite position. The evolutionary journey of the relationship is shown by composite Pluto's opposite house and the North Node.

In Evolutionary Astrology Pluto reflects evolution on every level, quote below:

There are two primary ways that evolution occurs, and these are reflected in how the soul also evolves. These two ways of evolving can be called Cataclysmic and Uniform. Cataclysmic evolution is based on a very intense event that leads to and creates metamorphic change - a rapid acceleration of evolutionary needs. In nature, this can be an earthquake, volcanic eruption, destructive storm etc. For human beings, this can be things like the sudden unexpected loss of a loved one, violations of trust that lead to loss of social position or power (such as the forced resignation of Nixon via the Watergate episode), the experience of rape or any type of sexual  violation, and cataclysmic physical trauma such as AIDS, cancer, etc.
I will finish the second part to this look at Jeff Greens work in my next post. I have picked this book up a quite a few times to study. The work is fascinating, but a lot of the past life indications can't be proven. You have to take into consideration the couples spiritual state, and read it differently for each relationship. This is not a book I would recommend for beginners, it can get complicated. I will explain more in my next post and tell you the kind of statements the book makes about realtionships according to composite Pluto.

The Astrological Alphabet

This system was developed by Zip Dobyns, and it's main premise was to develop a way for astrology students to understand repeated themes in the chart. The numerical division is quite simple. The first sign/house of the zodiac and ruling planet all relate to letter 1. So, Aries, the first house and Mars represent one in the astrological alphabet. The 5th house, Leo and the Sun are all connected to the letter 5. Now, the author specifically states in her work that sign, house and planet are not the "same" and this is a method used to understand the 12 basic drives in the personality.
The system has been highly criticised by the traditional branch of astrology, as they have a disdain for such methods. However, I was left baffled by one critic of the Zip Alphabet, he made it publicly known that the Astrological Alphabet has caused great harm to astrology. In his view, houses do not = signs, signs do not = planets. However, if he actucally read Zip's work she clearly says they are not the "same". Nonetheless, this particular critic, praised the late Charles Carter in every single book review. I own four books written by Charles Carter and he has excellent ideas worth exploring in astrology, and I also noted that his observations on sign and house, are almost identical to Dobyn's. Here is an extract from his website regarding this debate:

I shall deal chiefly with Leo rising and Sun in Leo, but I mention that some of the most Leo people I know have heavy stresses on the 5th house and next to nothing in the sign. It used to be said that sign was character and the house the field in which it is expressed, but frankly this is wrong. It is, in my view, a major mistake. The lady who interviewed me on television recently struck me as one of the most Leo persons imaginable. But her natus showed nothing but Neptune in that sign: however, she had Sun, Venus, Jupiter and Mercury in the 5th, with Mars close to the cusp. You may imagine that Mercury conjunction Jupiter, with Capricorn rising, and with this satellitium in the 5th, made her one of the most self-confident persons imaginable. She insisted on announcing me as "President Emeritus of the Astrological Lodge of the Theosophical Society"although she didn't know what "Emeritus" means and also asked me what "theosophical" signified. She said the title sounded so fine! If that isn't Leo, I don't know what is!

Usually if you have read an author well you have a good sense of what take they have on astrology. Here Carter was agreeing with the exact same system that Dobyn's uses. I assumed that the reviewer had read Carter's work in detail, but perhaps not.

Here is a PDF from the late Zipporah Dobyns, and I encourage people to make up their own minds. In one lecture by Liz Greene, a student in the seminar questioned her on the use of sign = house in her highly acclaimed work on "Saturn a New Look at an Old Devil". In this case, she emphasises the house placement of Saturn has the greatest impact. Modern astrologers can be just as vicious, and they often say the "traditionals" are stuck in a time warp, and life hasn't evolved, and they disregard the newly discovered planets. The Moderns are accused of not knowing the history of astrology, and of sprinkling sugar all over astrological interpretations. Moderns are also told they don't have a realistic view of life/art of astrology. The mythical battle between the old and new (Saturn-Uranus) reenacts itself daily in the astrological communities, and it can get pretty ugly at times. Uranus' discovery shook the traditional system, and the ancient astrologers cling to old methods out of security and what works. Modern astrologers promote new planets and new consciousness in the world. Chronus/Saturn and the traditional branch of astrology are still trying to castrate Modern astrologers (Uranus).

Cheryl Cole: A Lucky Lady

Cheryl Cole of Girls Aloud fame and fellow judge on the popular X Factor show in England, has had many lucky opportunities, that have seemingly fallen from the sky and landed into her lap. However, she wasn't so lucky to begin with. After a night out celebrating; the new reality star was involved in a brawl with a toilet attendant, and she was subsequently accused of grievous assault and racism. The racism claim was dropped, and she was charged with GBH. Luckily, it didn't affect the band's appeal and they were still successful in the U.K, and had a string of successive top ten hits. It appears that Cheryl's luck and popularity knows no bounds (Jupiter-Uranus in Sagittarius), and she has rocketed to stardom. Cherly's appearances on X factor earned her a record deal as a solo star, and she had a number one single and album. The popular judge frequently appears on the cover of high fashion mags, and promotes beauty products. It has been recently reported that she may be a judge stateside, when X Factor launches out there.

Today, the young star is earning a fortune and has had numerous breaks in her career. Everything this lady touches turns to gold. A look at her natal chart revealed that Cheryl Cole was born with a lucky conjunction. In her chart, Jupiter conjuncts Uranus in Sagittarius, and the jovial planet is placed in it's own sign and is very at home. Jupiter and Uranus are considered friendly towards one another amongst the planetary gods. Jupiter is the largest planet in the solar system, and represents opportunity, growth and future possibilities. When we envision a better world and future for ourselves, this is Jupiter at work. However, there are many debates on what constitutes luck and how we receive it. On the whole, most astrologers agree that Jupiter intuits the next big thing, and senses when an opportunity is about to reveal itself.

You learn quickly in astrology that we are not all born equal, and perhaps she is favoured by the heavens. It could also represent what we call fate in astrology, or according to one of my favourite quotes: "character is fate". Assuming that this conjunction is prominent in her chart, she was born lucky. Jupiter in Sagittarius conjunct Uranus, offers a worldview and perspective that is open to the gifts life has to offer. The future is exciting and bright (Uranus) and opportunities (Jupiter) present themselves suddenly (Uranus). Over the last few years, she has lived in a reality where the world is generous and beneficial, and this only enhances her innate faith in life (Jupiter in Sagittarius). Erbitin has called this pairing the 'Thank the Lord' aspect.  Uranus sees the overall pattern of life in a blinding flash and believes in human potential, and she has faith and believes in the contestants she mentors, and she has the opportunity to offer the same gifts to them. With her Jupiter-Uranus aspect, she also has a strong streak of originality and some rebelliousness. Jupiter-Uranus in Sagittarius (higher mind) works on an intellectual too, and so she would have her own broad viewpoints.

Now, if we look at her Mercury in Gemini conjunct Mars, she is direct in speaking, and has had numerous squabbles with other pop stars, due to  comments (Mercury) directed (Mars) quite sharply at others. A lot of the time, she has acted in defence, against the criticism aimed towards her. The astrological chart reveals more insight into her communication, and it shows Mercury opposite Neptune (tight), revealling deep sensitivity to criticism. Cheryl alo has natal Sun in Cancer, and she is emotional and touchy, when a crab is under attack she retreats into a hard defensive shell. Some of her sharp critiques are aimed at her self, view here (Mercury-Mars). She is highly imaginative (Sun in Cancer & Mercury-Neptune), but this aspect in a natal can create misunderstandings and deception in communication. Cole's Mercury profile describes the little squabble in the toilets and the court case following, a silly argument involving lollipops. Frank Skinner did a very amusing interview here. I had a look at her transits over a week ago, and a few interesting combinations appeared at certain life points. Cheryl was dating her footballer boyfriend under a Venus-Pluto trine, he is of a different race, and this is a lovely aspect to fall in love under. Many deep feelings of passion are stirred and the connection feels fated. The cheating scandal broke out under a Venus-Neptune opposition, she had a stormy relationship at this time.

Jupiter-Uranus is a powerful luck factor in her natal chart. However, it helps to have a fairy godfather like Simon Cowell to wave his magic wand and make the young star's dreams all come true. Cheryl is gorgeous with a great personality and she shouldn't be so hard on herself. She has still worked those opportunities and appears thankful for all that she has achieved and received.

History: Tina Turner

Tina Turner began her career as a member of Ike Turner Revue. Allegations of abuse surfaced after the split with Ike. Tina raised four son's with her husband, but she reported being isolated and abused during their marriage together. The cost of maintaining Ike's cocaine habit and his serious infidelities took their toll on her over the years. Tina Turner stayed in this abusive relationship with Ike for 16 long years. After one brutal beating she finally left him in the dust.

“Sometimes you’ve got to let everything go – purge yourself,” says Tina Turner. “If you are unhappy with anything . . . whatever is bringing you down, get rid of it. Because you’ll find that when you’re free, your true creativity, your true self comes out.”

Triggering Transits

Transiting Jupiter was conjunct natal Uranus in the 10th house. Both planets represent our need for freedom, expansion and change, both crave to be free from restraints. There were new (Uranus)possibilities (Jupiter) which Tina could sense opening up for her, and the transit held a lot of excitement about the future. When Jupiter and Uranus meet, it often signals a time of both growth (Jupiter) and progression (Uranus) and represents a powerful sense of moving forward. This prevailing, optimistic attitude about the future, encouraged her to discover unlived possibilities.

Another important trigger was transiting Saturn conjunct Pluto in the 12th house. An aspect that Tina has natally (Saturn square Pluto). In the most extreme circumstances it can lead to obsessive-control, domination and misuse of power. I t was under this transit when her most severe beating occurred. Transiting Saturn moving through the 12th house representing a time of clearing old baggage. According to psychological astrology, planets in the 12th house operate on a hidden level, are unlived and often unexpressed. The 12th house also shows what is passed down through the family.

According to Tracy Marks in Your Secret Self (Pluto in 12th House)

Sexual urges, passions and resentments and hatred from the past may all fester within you, threatening to overcome self control and overwhelm consciousness. Because of the accumulated emotional charge of such energies and their threat to sense of self, you may not be able to discover the constructive power source, the aliveness, the regenerative and healing capabilities, and the inner strength which they can provide you once acknowledged, worked through and integrated. Sometimes, a 12th house Pluto indicates a history of physical or emotional abuse. Unable to assert your power, you developed behavior patterns which expressed your powerlessness.

Transiting Uranus was approaching a conjunction to her I.C (lowest point in chart) and, represented a new sense of freedom (Uranus)in her personal life (4th). Lyn Birkbeck (Instant Astrologer) phrases this opposition by calling it: "A once-in-a-lifetime start of a new "Inner Freedom Cycle". Transiting Uranus also trined Mars in the 7th house of relationships. It shows a need to assert the self and push forward, signalling freedom from oppression.

Astrology Game

I enjoy collecting other astrological items apart from books.  I have Liz Greene's Mythic Astrology with astrological cloth and cards. I used to have a couple of zodiac cups, and I have seen lots of astrological jewellery out there. There are paintings and other artwork that can be collected with all the zodiac signs. We have seen people with body art and astrological tattoos. I have a zodiac game called Star Counters, and it comes with two boxes of astrological questions and a nice decorative astrological board game. The objective of the game is to travel around the zodiac and collect star crystals. The star crystals relate to the four elements, and you can go back home if you win.

The questions are humorous and interesting and I will share a few below with you. The blank spaces are for the person asking the question to pick a sign and the other player has to guess how the sign is likely to act, or what they might say. The only person who has played the game with me is my four year old. He is good with elements in astrology. He got bored after a few minutes and hoped the game turned into a jigsaw. Here are some questions from the game. A fun way to learn astrology basics, it would be nice if these games ventured out into aspects too.

Tinkerbell - Your True Purpose

I am away with the fairies on this post today, but we all need a little magic now and again. Tinkerbell is the tale of a new fairy and all new fairies are born from a baby's laughter. When a new fairy is born she has to discover what her talent is in the world. During the initiation process, Tinkerbell discovers she is one of the Tinker's (workers below land) and that she has an innate talent in tinkering and fixing things, it's like being born with Sun in Virgo. Tinker has the task of creating a sense of order and harmony through knowledge and skills. Sun in Virgo needs to feel useful and are most fulfilled in work that combines intellectual variety with a sense of being helpful to other individuals and the "fairy" community.

Laughter is timeless --  Imagination has no age --And dreams are forever

Tinkerbell has an unusually strong power as a Tinker, but she is unhappy and dissatisfied with her role, because she never has the opportunity to travel out to the mainland. A Tinker is cooped up below land fixing everything that is broken, figuring out ways to solve problems and thinking up new inventions. Tinkerbell desperately wants to leave the role she has been assigned. She doesn't realize the true essence of being a Tinker, and she tries to take on other roles but it always goes wrong. When she isn't living out her true purpose (Sun) she fails in her quest.

Tinker Bell: Guess what? Ive decided, Im not gonna be a tinker
  fairy anymore.
Rosetta, Iridessa, Silvermist, Fawn: What?
Tinker Bell: Well, I was thinking. Why do I have to be a tinker? Just
because some silly hammer glowed? I mean, whose to say it wasnt
just some big mistake? Maybe I can just switch my talent!
Rosetta: Switch your talent? I dont know Tinkerbell
Tinker Bell: If you could teach me your talent-any of them- maybe I
can show the queen that I can work with nature too!*smacks bug,
flicks it away* And then shed let me go to the mainland for
  spring!
Rosetta: Oh Tinkerbell... thats just not how it works!
Fawn: Well... maybe she could.
Silvermist: Shes right! She could!
Iridessa: Well... Ive never heard anyone switching talents before...
Silvermist: Shes right! Me neither!
Tinker Bell: Look. You all do things that are beautiful and magical
and... and important. But me... theres gotta be more to my life
than just pots and kettles. All Im asking you is that you give me
  a chance.

One day on the beach she finds a music box and while no one is looking she cleverly puts all the different parts back into working order and fixes the trinket and the doll. Tinkers fairy friends were watching in secret and come to tell her what a wonderful job she did and that she should be proud of who she is. Yet, she is still not happy. As a last resort she asks the crafty fairy Vidia for help. Vidia tells Tinker to catch all the Thistles to prove her worth. As Tinker makes progress, Vidia lets all the captured Thistles loose. Poor Tink tries to recapture them all, but it's too late and all the preparations for Springtime are ruined. After much introspection and self-analysis she puts her heart into her work. Tinker redeems herself by doing what she does with best and begins to invent machines that quicken the springtime process. Tink finally recognizes who she really is.

I suspect Tinkerbell could be weighted by the element of fire in her chart. Often, fire signs find the mundane and earthy aspects of life boring. We are all born under one of the four season's: Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter. We each have the power to express our individuality through our own creative efforts. Yet, not everyone recognizes the profound importance of their Sun sign, and many astrologers belittle its importance when pushing away the validity of sun sign columns. You might not identify with your Sun sign, or feel it's a "glamorous" sign to be born under. The Sun is our inner urge towards self-actualization and shows where we shine in life, and where we can achieve excellence. I am thinking this story could even apply to the rising sign in the natal chart.

Sun in 12th House

A person with the Sun in 12th house has deep receptivity to the sensitive and watery world of collective dreams, longings and yearnings. The creative urge to be an individual is coloured by the larger collective, and they will only find real fulfillment through by journeying into he unseen and invisible dimensions of life. The twelfth house is one of the most inaccessible houses and has associations with the collective unconscious, the past and the whole of psychic history and content of previous generations. Many things int he past - particularly int he family past - have affected them and hold them in a state of confusion and misunderstandings, although they may not be fully conscious of these feelings they hold inside of them. At some point int heir lives they may wish to explore the dynamic of "family karma", to understand what gifts and talents lay unexpressed in their psychic history and which holds the key to their own sense of meaning and purpose in life.

The very things it represents are hidden, illusory and not easily grasped. The twelfth house represents the dissolution of all boundaries, attempting to achieve a one-ness with the whole of life itself. They have often has felt an emotional sense of obligation and debt to the past, in other words, there is unfinished business. A light shines upon what is hidden, discarded, ignored and undeveloped. The Sun placed in a universal house cannot live solely for itself, and there is always a much larger collective need that lies behind individual expression. Therefore, the person is a highly sensitive vessel and mediator for society, and they posses an innate connection with the deeper and larger ocean of the collective unconscious and all that it contains ,and life will only have meaning they can express these sensitive longings and poetic soul into something creative, and they are a medium for the whole creative backdrop of life, mystical longing, and aspiration.

The twelfth house rules places that are hidden and secluded like institutions, monasteries, asylums and prisons. Frequently there is a sense of isolation and blocked self-expression, and the individual is often forced to turn inward and reconnect to the imaginable realm, and to sense that something greater is at work. They tend to get involved with the helping professions or in activities where their efforts are hidden, behind the scenes, or unknown to the public.

Part of the solar mission involves some kind of sacrifice and the path of development often involves healing and self-acceptance, which involves privacy, seclusion and silence. There may be artistic and creative talents present,  and it is necessary to have “time” out to reflect on their dreams, feelings and fantasies. Dance, music and art may be specific areas of interest, and there is a latent psychic and mediumistic ability which may need to be developed further.

A twelfth house Sun sometimes feel overlooked and this can create self-doubt and poor self-esteem. Planetary energy in this house feels weakened, unacknowledged and unseen. The person does not feel deserving of praise, attention or acknowledgement. Asserting themselves or getting up in front of an audience may be exceedingly uncomfortable for them.

The Sun in the 12th house feels invisible at times, and may live out part of their lives in secret. With such deep understanding and compassion, charitable work, social work, and helping the underprivileged is a good vocational choice. Twelfth house Suns are a beacon of light for people who feel neglected, unwanted and unloved in society.

The twelfth house dissolves, disintegrates and falls into the unconscious, and the waters are difficult to navigate. These types have enormous psychic sensitivity and some may try to numb this powerful feeling with alcohol and drugs. Addictive substances are an attempt to reconnect to the unseen world. A powerful sense of service to others leads them into the healing fields. Therapy, medicine, hypnosis, creative visualisations, occult studies, music or painting are all areas that the individual may be drawn to.

This person is a light for those in society who feel weak, shut out, rejected, lost and confused. The work they do behind the scenes may not be visible to everyone, but as long as they develop self-esteem and contribute something towards the collective, they feel fulfilled in spheres that allows them to translate their inner world into an artistic, political, scientific, or humanitarian contribution.
